SLS needle (red) is an anionic surfactant in needle form. It has excellent foaming power and detergency property. It is also a good emulsifier. It is most effective under alkaline conditions (PH＞7.5). It can be used with other anionic, non-ionic or amphoteric surfactants. However, due to its anionic character, it should not be used with cationic components like cationic surfactants, cationic dyes, etc.
SLS needle(red) used as colored speckles in detergents at concentration of 0.5-1.0% to improve its aesthetic appeal.
SLS Needle(red) is available in HDPE lined paper bags of 25kg net weight or 574bags non palletized i.e. 15MT can shipped in a 20ft. box container.
HANDLING AND STORAGE
Store the material in a clean, dry place below 35C away from direct heat, sunlight and moisture. Slight Ph drop is possible over prolonged storage. In case of drop in PH, it is fairly safe to use the material as long ass the PH is ≥7.0. In the original sealed condition, when stored as suggested, the shelft life of the product is at least one year. Soft, easily breakable agglomerates may be formed on storage. Since the material is hygroscopic in nature, use the product within a week after opening the bag. Spills should be contained/collected and disposed off as per the regulations. Avoid ingestion and inhalation(when concentration in air is high, use appropriate mask) and also avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. In case of contac with eyes, seek adequate and timely medical attention. During storage, to avoid lumping, do not stack more than 8 bags (non-palletized) one above the other and if palletized, single pallet on ground or in pigeon hole. Jumbo bags should be stored only with crates and should not be stacked one above the other during storage.
